Purpose
Learning about programme packages standard requirements for library operations.

Goals
Gaining knowledge of bibliographical and localization data, of connections among database information, and of library operations.

Subjects
- Basic information on UNIMARC/MARC fields
- Basic information on ISO 2709 standards
- Basic information on ANSI Z39.50 standards
- Basic information on UNIMARC : ISBD relationship
- Standard library package structure: acquisition, inventorying, cataloguing and classification, retrieval

Teaching Method
Lectures in an electronically equipped classroom with use of COBISS programme for library operations.
